(Tokyo, Japan - October 27, 2021) - Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. announces that it will exhibit in the Japan Pavilion online exhibition “COP 26 Virtual Japan Pavilion” organized by the Ministry of the Environment, which introduces the technologies and services of companies pursuing decarbonization innovation. At the virtual reality exhibition, the exhibit will present new technologies to reduce CO2 emissions, “Development of SOFC Power Generation using methane Gas from Wastewater Treatment.”
For the purpose of transmitting a strong message to the world that Japan is working to realize a decarbonized society, the Japan Pavilion will be installed at the site of the 26th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) to be held in Glasgow, UK from October 31 through November 12. The exhibits at COP26 will comprise on-site pavilions and online virtual pavilions.
The virtual pavilions will be held as a venue for information exchange and interaction among companies and participants. Presentations by each of the exhibiting companies will take place on November 1 and November 12.

Presenters from Asahi Quality & Innovations, Ltd., which is the Asahi Group’s independent research company, have set a time to answer questions from the visitors at the exhibiting companies’ introduction booth in the “RURAL” area.
