Asahi Group Selected as Host City Partner for the One Young World 2022 Tokyo Summit

Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. today announced that it has entered into a global partnership with the One Young World Japan Committee and has been selected as the Host City Partner for the One Young World 2022 Tokyo Summit to be held in middle May 2022. This will be the first time that the summit has been held in Japan.
One Young World Summits bring together, from over 190 countries, next-generation leaders who have a strong interest in areas such as politics, economics, and humanitarian aid. At the summits, the delegates, who are aged between 18 and 30, engage in discussions and debates with globally active environmentalists, political and economic experts, and corporate leaders contributing towards achievement of the UN’s Sustainability Development Goals. This provides delegates with opportunities to build networks and further develop their views and find ways to enhance their activities in order to boost their positive impact on global issues. Roughly 10,000 delegates have participated in the summits since the first One Young World Summit in 2009.
Asahi Group is working as a team to help counter climate change and address human rights issues and other issues facing the world, with the aim of helping to realize a sustainable and prosperous society. Through this partnership with the One Young World Japan Committee, Asahi Group hopes to contribute to creating a brighter future by promoting the development of next-generation leaders.
