Asahi YOU. US, Ltd. which Sells Products and Provides Services that Contribute to Realizing a Sustainable Society to Start Operations January 1, 2022

 (Tokyo, Japan – December 3, 2021)-Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. announces that it is establishing Asahi YOU. US, Ltd. to develop new sustainability businesses within the Asahi Group in Japan as a new company under Asahi Group Japan, Ltd. (start of operations: January 1, 2022)

 Asahi YOU. US, Ltd. will begin its operations from January 1, 2022. Through sales of sustainable products presently handled by the Asahi Group such as the “Tumbler in the Forest” eco-cup that uses biomass materials and the production and sales of craft beers* and other products that contribute to local SDGs, the company will work to strengthen partnerships and networks through each product.
* Some of them are categorized as low-malt beers under Japan’s Liquor Tax Act.

 Making use of the knowledge gained in initiatives such as the UPCYCLE B project to create regional, circular, and ecological spheres (local SDGs) currently being developed in Japan, Asahi YOU US aims to expand the lineup of sustainable products and product categories, and contribute to resolving local social issues and to the growth of local culture through co-creation with companies, NPOs, universities, government bodies, and other diverse outside stakeholders.

 By providing sustainable products and services that are familiar and sympathetic to consumers, Asahi YOU US will flexibly and quickly work at building “sustainable networks,” and construct frameworks to make new sustainability businesses profitable to keep them going.
