Asahi Group Recognized with Prestigious “A” Score for Global Climate Stewardship by Global Environmental Non-Profit CDP

(Tokyo, Japan - February 6, 2024) - Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. announces that it has been recognized for leadership in corporate sustainability by global environmental non-profit CDP*, securing a place on its prestigious “A List” for tackling climate change. This is the sixth consecutive year since 2018 that Asahi Group has been recognized for this score.

One of the principles under the Asahi Group Philosophy is to “Contribute to realizing a sustainable society through our business.” In line with the four pillars of Asahi Group's Environmental Vision 2050, which includes climate change, the Group is committed to accelerating our environmental efforts and creating a positive impact on both society and the Group's operations, as we strive to achieve our vision of the world in 2050.

Asahi Group acknowledges that its recognition on the "Climate Change A List" is a result of its initiatives to reduce CO₂ emissions, which include the promotion of renewable energy use, designing containers/packaging such as label-less products with lower environmental impacts, and conducting demonstration tests for the creation of new clean energy models. Moreover, the Group believes its endorsement of the TCFD recommendations, along with its quantitative evaluation and disclosure of the impact of climate change-related risks and opportunities on its businesses using 1.5℃ scenario analysis methods, have also been recognized.
