Asahi Group Selects Nine Startup Partners to Collaborate on Sustainability Challenges
Asahi Group has selected nine partners participating in its Sustainability Innovation Program, a global initiative aimed at exploring partnerships and fostering collaboration with start-ups and scale-ups working on sustainability-focused solutions. The selected partners will focus on three priority areas: sustainable agriculture and raw materials, renewable energy and energy efficiency, and sustainable packaging within a circular economy.
The selected partners are:
1. SeaGen – Aquatic robots for monitoring water ecosystems
2. Greyparrot.AI – Visual recognition technology powering smarter recycling
3. Biome Makers – Microbiome-based insights for regenerative agriculture
4. Nature Coatings – Carbon-negative, plant-based dye innovation
5. Samsara – Enzyme-based solutions for the infinite recycling of plastic and textile waste
6. Notpla – Seaweed-based packaging that naturally decomposes
7. Rondo – Clean, affordable heat and power for industrial use
8. Skyven – Technologies for decarbonizing industrial steam for manufacturers
9. Kraftblock – Long-duration thermal energy storage for heavy industry
Asahi Group will be working with the 9 partners to test, learn and explore potential applications of solutions together across its business operations. Through these partnerships, the Group aims to drive innovation and contribute to solving global sustainability challenges in pursuit of a more sustainable future.
