The “Asahi Group” collectively refers to Asahi Group Japan, Ltd., and its subsidiaries within Japan (such as Asahi Breweries, Ltd., Asahi Soft Drinks Co., Ltd., Calpis Co., Ltd., Asahi Group Foods, Ltd., Asahi Food Create, Ltd., and Enoteca Co., Ltd.) as well as Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd., Asahi Quality & Innovations, Ltd., Asahi Biocycle Co., Ltd., Asahi Group Arts Foundation, and Asahi Group Foundation, and each entity making up the Asahi Group is referred to as an “Asahi Group Company”.

HANDLING OF CUSTOMERS’ PERSONAL INFORMATION
On the Asahi Group’s websites, the Asahi Group protects customers’ personal information by using a security function known as “SSL.” “SSL” (*1) involves receiving and sending personal information (including name, address and telephone number) input by the customer by automatically encrypting such personal information. It is not necessary for the customers to set anything in particular.

Use of Web Beacons
The Asahi Group’s websites may use web beacons (*3) in order to investigate customers’ usage status of emails and usage status of websites in a manner which can never lead to the Asahi Group obtaining any information through which any individuals may be identified, such as customers’ names, postal addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses.
(*3) A web beacon is a graphic image (gif) installed on a webpage. It can tally access status to the gif and grasp the usage status of the entire website thereby.
Copyrights and other rights with regard to the images, information, and the like, published on the Asahi Group’s websites shall belong to each Asahi Group Company or the rights holder who granted the use thereof to each Asahi Group Company. Copyrights are protected by laws such as treaties or each country’s copyright legislation; the publicized contents may not be used (including any duplication, alteration or distribution thereof) beyond the scope of private use or other use permitted by the laws.
In addition, all of the copyrights regarding the contents of emails sent from each Asahi Group Company to customers belong to the relevant Asahi Group Company and may not be diverted or reprinted in an unauthorized manner.
The relevant rights to the “Trademarks” (meaning trademarks and service marks) displayed on the Asahi Group’s websites belong to each Asahi Group Company or the rights holder who granted the use thereof to each Asahi Group Company. The Trademarks may not be used without permission from the relevant rights holder.
9. Moderate Drinking
The Asahi Group considers promoting moderate drinking as its social responsibility and requests customers also on the Asahi Group’s websites to comply with moderate drinking. Thus, the Asahi Group may delete posts which fall or may fall under the following items, even if the contents are posted by customers.
- If the person who posted a comment is less than 20 years old or if the person whose photo is posted is legally prohibited from drinking alcohol due to their age (or appears to be such an age);
- If the post recommends drinking alcohol by those who have not yet reached the legal drinking age;
- If the post recommends excessive alcohol intake or irresponsible drinking;
- If the post recommends drinking while driving or operating other machinery, or otherwise when concentration is required, or drinking immediately after various exercises;
- If the post recommends drinking during pregnancy or the lactation period; or
- If the Asahi Group otherwise finds it inappropriate for the operation of the Asahi Group websites.
In general, customers are free to post links to the Asahi Group’s websites; however, it is not permitted to post links to sites that are against the public order or morals.

Generally, unless we request so otherwise, each Asahi Group Company will not accept any submissions of ideas from a customer in relation to new advertising campaigns, new sales promotions, new products, product names or marketing plans, etc. We ask for your understanding in advance that each Asahi Group Company cannot guarantee that any ideas submitted by customers in spite of the above will be handled as confidential information or information of proprietary value.
12. No Warranty
The Asahi Group Companies make no warranty of any kind with respect to the Asahi Group’s websites and shall not be liable for any errors on the Asahi Group’s websites or for any troubles that may arise between a customer and any third party as a result of the use thereof.
Furthermore, the Asahi Group Companies shall not be liable for any accidents or any other damage of or to any software or hardware resulting from the use of the Asahi Group’s websites. Please note that information, file names, etc., published on the Asahi Group’ websites are subject to change without announcement.
