Human rights are rights to live with dignity as a human being, and are rights that all people are born with. Respect for human rights is the responsibility of all companies. Also, it is essential for corporate activities to leverage all human resources, regardless of age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity, origin or religion, and create new value.
The Asahi Group respects the human rights of stakeholders and provides diverse human resources with opportunities for active participation and growth.

Respect for Human Rights

Companies have a responsibility to respect the human rights of all stakeholders.
The Asahi Group Human Rights Principles clearly state our approach to human rights. As the foundation for all business activities, the Asahi Group is implementing a human rights due diligence process to ensure that our business activities do not violate the human rights of people affected by our business activities or those of our employees. As the first step, we are promoting efforts to complete the human rights due diligence process at suppliers by 2022.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Promoting active participation by diverse human resources is essential for realizing a society in which no one is left behind. In addition, a corporate culture in which each and every employee is respected and his or her individuality is recognized makes a company stronger and produces more innovative organizations, products, and services.
In 2021, the Asahi Group established the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Statement. We are promoting initiatives so that each and every employee is free to participate actively in his or her own way.
