In 1993, there was an unprecedented health boom, and numerous health food products came onto the market. At this time, Asahi Juroku-cha started to be sold as a canned drink. Containing 16 healthy ingredients, it became popular with customers for its novelty and health benefits. Asahi Juroku-cha thus became a pioneer of blended teas.

"Six Organs, Six Viscera, and Four Tastes" of Oriental Health Philosophy

Oriental health philosophy divides the condition of the body into healthy, pre-symptomatic state, and sick, and emphasizes a balance in the body overall.
Based on this, Asahi Juroku-cha is a blend of 16 healthy ingredients whose purpose is to stimulate the body internally and externally in a well-balanced way. The "16" ("Juroku") in Juroku-cha means the six organs and six viscera in our bodies and the four tastes of sweet, bitter, salty, and sour (6+6+4=16).

Eco-friendly Asahi Juroku-cha

Test marketing* in bottles marked directly using laser marking technology has been carried out. Laser marking technology involves laser processing of only the very surface of a PET bottle to draw or write on it. With this technology, the tack seals and neck ringers for labeling that were used for conventional label-less products are unnecessary, realizing a completely label-less system that is both eco-friendly and easy to use.
